Actress Mallika Sherawat, who was earlier, considered ‘cheap’, thanks to her skimpy attire and kiss-and-tell attitude has definitely upped the ante. After all she did ask for a dear Rs. 1.50 crores for a mere eight-minute appearance in Himesh Reshammiya’s film, Aap Ka Surroor. But the fact of the matter is that the lady did no such thing. Mallika actually has a full-fledged role in Aap Kaa Surroor. “All of 36 minutes,” informs Himesh. And there’s more. “She plays negative,” he stresses. “Mallika isn’t doing just item numbers in the film, nor is she in just a ‘special appearance’. But her appearance and role in this one is special alright,” he says.

And what about the money? “Contrary to reports, Mallika hasn’t charged the ridiculous amount people are saying she did. 1.50 crores for an 8-minute appearance – who can even believe such a thing?” The music director-singer who turns actor with Aap Kaa Surroor also says that MS fitted the role to the T. “I don’t see anyone else doing what she has done,” he states. From ‘cheap’ to ‘dear’, hats off to the actress who has managed this successful image makeover, and can ask for ‘more’, and leave the masses asking for more as well.

Himesh Reshammiya must be grinning form ear to ear for the fact that his debut film Aap Kaa Surroor: The Moviee - The Real Luv Story is attracting all the possible attention.

Whether it is due to Mallika featuring in it or because that her outfit for the Mehbooba number is designed by Ashley Rebello. The emerald green gypsy costume is a tribute to Helen, the original ‘dancing queen’.

But now we hear that there’s more. Mallika fans will be thrilled to know that she is now planning to auction this outfit on the same date that the film is releasing- June29. Although tentatively decided, the event might take place at the same venue where the movie is premiered.
